The latest Deco offering with Artwork by Luke Browne from Daylight Skateboards.

The Farmers Building sits on Hastings Street and forms part of Napier’s wider Art Deco streetscape, which was shaped after the1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake. The current structure is a modern redevelopment, but it incorporates restored 1930s Art Deco façades, most notably the historic Callinicos Building frontage. A key visual feature is the decorative repeating scallop and circular border pattern framing parts of the façade, which reflects classic Art Deco detailing. Luke has tweaked pattern colours in this eye catching homage.
